Good Shepherd Community Care celebrates Geriatric Senior Resource Centre as newest Corporate Champion Circle member

Newton, MA (January 23, 2024) Good Shepherd Community Care is thrilled to welcome one of its longest-collaborating partners in care, Geriatric Senior Resource Centre (GRC), as the newest Bronze member of Good Shepherd’s Corporate Champion Circle. Established in 1978, family-owned GRC and not-for-profit Good Shepherd share a 46-year history of mutual trust and of providing- and referring the other for compassionate care to the community from their respective domains of specialization.

“Geriatric Senior Resource Centre has always been one of our most trusted home care partners,” shared Tim Boon, President and CEO of Good Shepherd. “An unwavering commitment to families drives their care, and weare thankful for their principled and dedicated partnership.” GRC’s current President and CFO is Karen Caponetti, daughter of founder and principal Ann Peck. Karen, with Ann’s active involvement and a devoted executive team, continues to develop and grow the organization around GRC’s core principle of fostering dignity and respect for clients and caregivers. “For community-grown, mission-driven organizations like both of ours, mutual respect and trust matters deeply and on a very human level,” shared Jennifer Sax, Good Shepherd’s VP of Advancement. “Years ago, Good Shepherd was honored to provide hospice care for Ann Peck’s husband at the end of his life. We work hard to earn that level of trust, and hold in very high regard those partners, like GRC, who offer the quality of care that we would choose for our own loved ones.”
